Providing specialist electrical services
Owner and Registered Electrician, Luke Jackson has purchased and is continuing to offer the services that he has learnt with his years under Alan Jackson’s leadership. Alan continues to provide consulting services and his expertise will ensure there is a smooth transition. Riley Jackson, the third member and apprentice completes the team.
Infrared Thermography Inspections
Another valued service we provide is infrared thermography inspections.
Alan Jackson is an Infraspection Institute Certified Level 1 Infrared Thermographer™. He uses high-resolution infrared imagers that are capable of detecting, displaying and recording thermal patterns across the surface on an object.
Many electrical defects are accompanied by a change in operating temperature prior to failure, Infrared thermography is non-contact and requires no interruption of service so is the ideal tool for inspection.
This allows him to detect issues like: loose connections, defective clips/connectors/equipment, overheating, unbalanced loads, overloaded circuits, inductive heating, faulty wiring, defective insulators and defective photovoltaic panels (solar panels).
Infrared inspections can assist with evaluating the quality of repair work being done, comparing and documenting ‘before’ and ‘after’ results providing a subjective evaluation and to aid in prioritising repairs. It helps with the imaging of buildings to check their insulation properties or to detect leaks.
This allows you to save energy, reduced unscheduled downtime, reduce equipment damage, ensure the quality of repair, increase efficiencies and extend equipment life.
Alan Jackson is also a Registered Electrical Inspector and is available for checking and certifying electrical work for commercial, residential, caravans and boats.
